LOULIANA
Probably the most eye catching juvenile this weekend was Louliana. Ridden by Pierre-Charles Boudot, this daughter of Acclamation made all in a decent time at Deauville on Sunday, without ever being asked a serious question. Having made the running, she quickened up nicely whilst still on the bridle and won a shade cosily. There is clearly a lot more to come from this filly, who looks like she should be able to earn the all important Black type in the near future.
SPECIALMENTE
There is a note of caution with this horse, as he won an all-weather maiden at Deauville, on what is a unique surface that is a mix of polytrack and fibresand, but I was really taken by this son of Lawman, who clearly knew his job. He is a big galloping type who will surely get much further in time, but he settled well for Cristian Demuro and never looked like being head once he hit the front turning in. A longer trip and a more galloping track should suit.
