PRIX DE SAINT-BRIEUC
This race was won by Jade de Grugy in 2022, whilst there may not have been a horse of that quality on show on Sunday, the pedigree of the 3rd makes her of interest for the future after a promising debut.

Prix Pride of Kildare 2025
The Prix Pride of Kildare has produced the likes of Live Conti, Jazzy Matty and Haut En Couleurs in recent seasons, here is my review of this year's race.

PRIX YVES D'ARMAILLE - PRIX COKORIKO
Her full-sister Livio sold to Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins for €260k at Arqana last year and it will be interesting to see if she remains in France.

Prix Finot (Poulains) - Auteuil
"He had to be shaken up when the field turned for home, but he quickly asserted in the straight and was clearly the best 3YO in the contest"

PRIX DES CONTADES
A few notes on yesterday's 3YO hurdle at Strasbourg, where Mondoctor Jem, a half-brother to the great Theleme, was the eye-catcher to add to the tracker.

Prix D’Aumale - Green Spirit
Green Spirit has an entry in the Prix Marcel Boussac and that is the obvious target for her next month.

Prix La Rochette Preview
In a year’s time, he will be the best of these and whilst there are obvious risks attached in such a small field, he looks the type to cope with a tactical race and were he to win this, he would have to go on the shortlist for the Jean-Luc Lagardere.

Prix de Ranville - "Gold Tweet"
Given how well he closed in the straight, chasing home a winner who sets a fair standard when getting his own way in front, he is a horse to note.

Criterium de Lyon - Ozone
Tuesday’s Listed Criterium de Lyon may not be the first race on peoples minds when looking for a top class performer, but Ozone certainly caught the eye with what proved to be a relatively straight forward success.

Vichy Selections 19th July
A 4/1 winner with Pen and Sword in the opening race on Friday kept the show on the road and so as we reach the end of the Vichy Summer Festival, I have a couple of final selections on Saturday mornings card.

Recruits - Folkene
Given the way she travels into her races, the stronger early pace that she is likely to encounter in the UK should suit and once she has acclimatised, I expect her to add further wins to her CV.

Prix Madame Jean Couturie - AL UQDA
"there’s no reason to think that she won’t be able to add further success in Group company to her CV before the end of the year".

GRAND PRIX DE VICHY
Mont de Soleil is a very capable performer at this level and the fact that he has now won over 2,000m does open some further options to him. However, we know an awful lot about the horses that he has beaten and neither of them can be considered to be improving types.

Vichy 2YO Maidens - 15th July
Horses don't often win French maidens in the manner that Special Wood won this race....

PRIX FREDERIC DE LAGRANGE
On this evidence, he will be hard to beat wherever he goes next time.
