Notes

6-runners

Itsy Bitsy was keen on her first run of the season, pulling her way to the front without ever really settling. Pace dropped to just 48 km/h as they rounded bottom turn, should have been ideally placed but found little once headed. She may improve for this, but this run lacks promise.

FUN WITH FLAGS a deserved winner, broke well from stall 6, settled on leaders quarters and then kept on once in front. Both she and the 2nd placed Simada were race fit, but the winner was always holding the second in the closing stages. Simada confirmed she would handle the ground (previous runs were on PSF) and having sat behind the leader and switched, a defeat of 1-length would suggest there is very little between the first 2.

Keen Approach produced a career best. Dropped in behind runners, she had little chance of getting on terms but rallied well to run between runners for 3rd. Has a mark of 36-kilos which looks workable if handicapping next time.

Pace

Winning Time: 1:43.51

Furlong Average 14.35s - would confirm theory of a slowly run race on deep ground. Compares with 14.26 for Fast Tracker in C2 for C&G over the same trip 35-minutes later. (Marhaba Ya Sanafi 13.71 in 1-mile Listed Prix Altipan on the same card).
