3-year-old Bay Colt
INTELLO x GALAXIE DES SABLES (Marchand Des Sable)
Trainer: Frederic Rossi
Breeder: HARAS. D'HASPEL
Owners: MBAYE NIANG SNC & SCUDERIA IL FINO
Having caught the eye when an impressive winner of a Chantilly maiden in December on his debut, Bobbymurphy announced himself at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in January, when he was the impressive winner of the Class 2 Louis Gautier-Vignal Stakes. This son of Intello dominated that race under Franck Blondel, making most of the running and coming nicely clear in the final furlong. The 2nd horse, Fort Payne has since placed at Listed level to give a very solid look to that piece of form.
His trainer, Frederic Rossi, has made no secret of his hopes for this horse, telling Jour de Galop "“I really like him. This race is only a stepping stone and the road to June is a long one (Prix du Jockey Club). With a Colt like Bobbymurphy, we have the right to dream: he is beautiful, good and very easy. We will gradually move up the ranks"
Having been purchased for €30000 as a yearling at the August Arqana sale, he then made the top price at the Osarus Breeze-Up sale when making €58000. On the evidence we have so far, that would look to be an excellent piece of business and this colt is full of potential.
The Prix Du Jockey Club is the main aim and he has done nothing but enhance his credentials for that race on his 2 starts so far. As a son of Intello, there should be more improvement to come as he steps up in trip and the 10-furlongs of the Prix Du Jockey Club should easily be within his range. A possible preparation for that could come in the Prix La Force or the Prix de Fontainebleau, if connections choose to go that route. He is entered to run in the Prix Policeman at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on 27th February, which would look to be a logical next step. Whilst he does need to prove his liking for turf as well as the all-weather, his breeding would suggest that this shouldn't be too much of a concern and he is a really likeable Colt to look forwards too.
