PRIX YVES D'ARMAILLE - PRIX COKORIKO

Runners in the G3 Prix Yves D'Armaille at Moulins

G3 AQPS - 3YO Fillies - 2,400m - Collant 4,2

Moulins - 17th September 2025

2:48.30 (Réduction KM 1:10.12)

Form confirmed from the G3 run at Vichy in August. The first 2 have controlled the pace, with the eventual 2nd Mathilde du Berger making the running at a relatively sedate pace. She was as much as 3-lengths in front at halfway, but once into there straight, Mysoko Star was asked to close and has eventually got on top, staying on to win by over a length. The pair have pulled clear of the rest and given that the 3rd and 4th have both hit the frame in the past, there is some substance to this, albeit in Fillies only company.

The winner is a Prince Gibraltar Filly who is a half-sister to a pair of winners in France. The Grand-Dam, Kario de Sormain, reached a peak rating of 78-kilos and was a multiple graded winner over fences in France. Family of G3 winner Jazz Manouche. Several of her siblings have sold at osarus for in the region of €40k, but she is now clearly worth considerably more. There is a jumping side to her pedigree and it will be interesting to see if she is kept to AQPS races or sent over hurdles in 2026.

The runner-up is a Cokoriko Filly, whose dam was a 3-time winner over obstacles and who has already  produced the G3 AQPS winner Livio. Her dam is a half-sister to the previously mentioned Jazz Manouche. She beat Mysoko Star on debut in July, but the latter has reversed and confirmed that since. Livio sold to Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins for €260k at Arqana last year.

This pair must be close to being the best 3YO AQPS Fillies in the division, but the rest have run to a set level and no further, so it is a definite possibility that this is a shallow pool in 2025.
